Vicki Ying Shi is a freelance artist based in Toronto, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in drawing and painting at OCAD University. Her current primary practice is on creating a series of large-scale mixed media paintings that explore feminist themes. In addition, she is working on a series of NFTs, using her creativity and technical expertise in mixed media and digital painting to bring her imaginative characters to life.

 

To date, Ying has already developed close to two hundred diverse characters, showcasing her talent in character development and digital art. Her dynamic and imaginative style has led to collaborations with well-known brands such as Cosmo Magazine and Tmall. With an extensive social media following of over 63,000, Ying uses her platform to showcase her artwork and engage with fellow artists and art enthusiasts. What sets Ying's work apart is her unique perspective, shaped by her cultural heritage, which she seamlessly blends with her artistic vision to create truly captivating works of art.
